White water rafting
The best whitewater rafting in the East is in our backyard on the New and Gauley Rivers. Rafting is one of the most wonderful experiences that anyone can ever imagine. The rivers in West Virginia are very diverse so rafters can pick a calmer trip on the upper New River in rubber kayaks (children start at age 6), or more rapids on the lower New River in a larger raft (children start at age 12). The trips are divided into different levels of skill, so this means that beginners as well as experts can enjoy the rapids. For the little more experienced, the rapids on the Gauley are a must.

State and National Parks Nearby
Very close to our cabins are the following parks: Babcock, Hawks Nest, the Monongahela Forest, Carnifax State Park, and the Cranberry Glades Botanical area. These parks are perfect for bird watching, fishing, boating, mountain biking, and hiking.  National Parks also nearby: New River Gorge National River and Summersville Lake.
ATV Riding:  If you haven’t experienced off road riding in scenic southern West Virginia, it’s time to see what you have been missing!!  Explore professionally designed off road trails close by to our cabins. State Certified guides will begin by teaching you the mechanics of a 4 wheeler and the basics of control and safety . You will then be outfitted with a helmet, goggles and are ready to ride the trails! All tours are completely guided.  Minimum age of 16, inxperienced ATV riders are no problem.  Bachelor Parties a SPECIALTY!!

Rock climbing
Rock climbing in West Virginia is a favorite sport. People travel from all over the world to climb the mountains that overlook the beautiful scenery of the New River Gorge. It is accessible for novices and experts, thanks to the great trainers that let adventurers of any skill level enjoy the sport of rock climbing.

Skiing, snowboarding, and tubing
Winter sports: Winter Place, Snowshoe Mountain, Canaan Valley and the Timberline. Skiing, snowboarding, and tubing are all popular because there is almost always a great layer of snow in the mountains.
