Rafting: The New River Gorge known as the Grand Canyon of the east, and The Gauley River feature the best white water rafting in America. There are a variety of rafting trips for all ages, and all levels - from beginners age 6 to experienced.

 

Lower New River packages starting at $154 per person, based on 4 people, plus tax. Includes 2 nights lodging and rafting on the Lower New River. (more than 4 people get additional discounts. Discounts avail. for less than 4 people as well.) Minimum age 8
   

Upper New River: Have a great day on the Upper New in a single, double kayak or raft.Minimum age 6. A great full day experience on a calmer part of the river for all ages! Nice for someone looking for an introduction to rafting!! Also available are inner tube float trips. Packages starting at: $169 per person, plus tax, based on 4. The Gauley runs spring & summer modestly, but come fall the Summersville Dam releases huge flows for the world famous Gauley Season! 6 weeks of the best white water paddling in the world! **If you have done the New River, try the Gauley!

     Zip Lines:  We have the best zip lines on the east coast! 3 different ones within 10 minutes away. Tree Top Canopy Tour - was voted by USA Today to be one of the top 10 in America, Gravity Zip Line- higher and faster than Tree Tops, and Ace's fantastic double zip line where you can race your friend!      Kids activities:  There are lots of activities that kids can do in the area starting at age 6. Depending on age, activities include rafting, zip lines, Timber Trek aerial park, horseback riding, kayaking on a lake, mud obstacle course, stand up paddleboarding, paintball, mountain climbing/rapelling, Ace's NEW Water Park, and Adventure's on the Gorge NEW Canyon Falls Swimming Hole, a new 3000 sq foot swimming pool.      Timber Trek Aerial Adventure Park***NEW** This year!! An obstacle course in the trees with 5 courses of varying difficulty from calm to crazy! A system of unique obstacles, bridges, swings and ziplines between platforms in the forest canopy. Courses for ages 7 to adult. Packages start at $149 per person, plus tax, based on 4.      Horseback riding. Saddle up right down the road from New River Cabins with Horse Shoe Creek Riding Stable. Choose from a 1 hour ride up to full day and even over night trips! Carriage rides can pick you up right at the front door of your cabin and take a nice leisurely ride in our scenic area. Packages start at $129, plus tax, based on 4.     Fishing: The most awesome fishing in Southern West Virginia can be found in the New River, Gauley, Greenbriar and Elk Rivers.      Rock climbing & Repelling: Some of the best on the east coast! There are miles of hard sandstone cliffs in the tri-gorge area - New River, Meadow River and Summersville Lake.      ATV riding: An exhilarating ride through the Appalachian Mountains, which offer a variety of terrain, rhododendrons, wooded trails, creeks, and awesome views!      Paintball: Some of the best paintball terraine you will find with different parks to choose from in our area.  Choose from 2 hours of paintball up to a half day. Paintball is about team work and reaching team goals, great for a group of friends!  Available mornings, afternoons and early evenings.  Paintball areas include protective equiptment, paintball guns and amo, instructional orientation and referees.     Hiking: Whether you want a guided hiking tour or go on your own, the New River Gorge area is the best place you could be! Whether you are a first time hiker or an expert we have the trails for you. Alot of our trails lead you to panaramic views of the Gorge and the New River Gorge Bridge. The National Park Service has trail maps available. Guided hiking package's available, call for details.
     Kayaking: Choose from calm, touring lake kayaking all the way to river kayaking on the New River.  Includes guides, all equiptment and full instruction on each type. For lake kayaking, you will learn paddling techniques in calm, flat water. Min age 6.      Mountain biking: Go on your own or join a guided biking trip. The National Park Service has full information and maps of all local trails. We are told its some of the best biking trails around! Guided mountain biking packages available, call for details. 
     Stand up Paddleboarding: A NEW sport to our area! You will be amazed at the ease of paddling and the quick learning curve on a calm lake. Many first times say they have no balance, but guides will help you feel at ease with the equiptment and environment. All guided tours include all equiptment.      "Orb the Gorge"!***NEW*** You are NOT orbing in to the gorge, but rolling down specially designed tracks. Strapped into a specially designed safety harness, you will roll, twist and tumble down your choice of tracks. Call us for details!
     ACE's Adventure Park and Lake***IMPROVED THIS YEAR!** 40 foot tall waterslide, tower zip line, new collasal inflatables in the lake, water trampolines, launch bags also known as the blob!  Canyon Falls Swimming Hole**NEW** at Adventures on the Gorge, 5 minutes away from New River Cabins, opened their newest attraction, a new 3000 sq foot swimming pool!
